After much anticipation we’re delighted to announce the Paribus team has completed their work on native staking. For the past few weeks we’ve adjusted the emphasis of the team’s workflow to shift focus onto the staking program, ensuring we could complete the work as our top priority. Now we’re able to share the news that the development from our side is complete.
We decided after listening to feedback from the community that staking was a key priority as it avoids the risk of impermanent loss that can occur during liquidity farming. In addition it actively encourages and rewards those who HODL PBX and we wanted to support that aspect of our community as they share the same long-term view of the project as we do.
What’s Next?
The next step in bringing the staking program to Paribus holders is the audit process. To ensure the security and integrity of staking we’ve contracted an external company to undertake a final audit of the system. Naturally, the audit process takes a little time to complete and as soon as we’ve progressed through the audit phase we’ll be poised to implement native staking for all Paribus holders.
In order to prioritize the staking aspect of our development we rescheduled the release of the MVP by a few weeks and will keep you updated regarding its development in future posts. In the meantime, we’re able to share with you further details of the reward incentives for staking along with some images showcasing the dark mode of our upcoming MVP.
Staking Tiers
We’ve designed the Paribus staking program along three tiers with yields and pool sizes relative to duration. The three tiers are Aereus, Argenti, and Aurum with commitments ranging from 60 to 365 days and returns of between 10% to 20% respectively as detailed below:
Aurum: 365 days staking, 20% APR. Requirements 1,000,000+ PBX
Pool limits — 200,000,000 PBX
Argenti: 180 days staking, 15% APR. Requirements 500,000–1,000,000 PBX
Pool Limits — 150,000,000 PBX
Aereus: 60 days staking, 10% APR Requirements 50,000–500,000 PBX
Pool Limits — 100,000,000 PBX
